This project is a focus stacking experiment with with some coins. I used the focus stacking feature of my Nikon D850 to take a series of pictures. Then, I stacked the pictures with Photoshop. I tried the following camera settings:
- Picture 1: 70 images, focus step width 1
- Picture 2: 40 images, focus step width 2
- Picture 3: 30 images, focus step width 3
Actually, I see huge differences between the three stacked images. Since the processing time depends on the number of images to be stacked, the third setting is the preferable one.
