This project is inspired by a project which I found in the book Kreative Blitzpraxis (create flash practice) of Tilo Gockel. The author explained how to create and use a dark field tube to photograph the surface structures of coins. I worked through the steps described in the book and did a fair amount of post processing.  I am quite satisfied with the result. Improvements may be achieved by cleaning the coins more carefully and shooting all coins with the same lighting setup (flash configuration). Better photoshop experience might be useful, too 🙂 .
